How to Create a Web Disk Account in cPanel?

A Web Disk account in cPanel lets you manage website files from your computer like a local folder. It uses WebDAV, making it easy to upload, download, and organize files without logging into cPanel every time.

Login to your cPanel account.

In search box, you can search for Web Disk.

Next, you can enter the login credentials for new Web Disk account.

After that, you can specify the desired directory that newly created account will have access to.
You also can setup the permission for created account.

To proceed click on Create button.
Next click on Configure Client Access.

For connection instruction, you can click for options given. Now for example, we will proceed by selecting Microsoft Operating System to create and set up the Web Disk Account. Click Download Configuration Script.

Click on the file you have downloaded, which can be found at the top right corner of your browser.
Click Open.

Click OK.

We will now attempt to access the Web Disk account that was created in cPanel. Enter the username and password that you configured during the setup in cPanel.
Make sure port 2078 is not blocked by your network or firewall.

You can find your Web Disk account under "This PC" or "My Computer" in File Explorer.
It will appear as a Network Location (similar to a new drive or folder).
The name will be the one you assigned when setting up the network location — for example, "My Website Files" or the server address.

With a Web Disk account, managing your site files is faster and easier. It gives you quick desktop access to your server, saving time and effort.
