How to Create Your FiveM Server Backup Guide
Creating Server Backups
Regular backups are vital for maintaining server integrity and ensuring swift recovery from issues such as file corruption, data loss, or script failures. Implementing a consistent backup schedule is a best practice for reliable and secure server management.
Creating a backup is fairly simple and takes a few seconds.
Head over to the GB Game Panel
Navigate to the Management expand it and click the Backup section of the Panel and press the Create
Assign a clear and descriptive name to your backup. We recommend including the backup date and your server name to ensure easy identification and organization
Press the Submit button
You will now see the backup, as shown below in our example
Once the backup is complete, additional management options will become available in the interface below
Backup Options
Download - Downloads the backup file in .tar.gz format, allowing you to store it locally for safekeeping or manual restoration.
Deploy - Restores the server to the state captured in the selected backup. Use this to revert to a previous version in case of issues or changes.
Lock - Locks the backup to prevent accidental deletion. This is recommended for important restore points you want to preserve
