# How to Reset VPS Password

**What you can do in Cloud Panel**
In the cloud panel, you can manage your server by performing essential tasks such as rebooting or shutting down the VPS whenever necessary. You also have the option to reset the root password for improved security and account management. Additionally, the cloud panel allows you to reinstall the operating system if you need a clean setup or to resolve critical issues. You can also view the IP address assigned to your VPS, which is useful for configuration and connectivity purposes. This guideline applies to the following products **:**
* Linux KVM VPS
* Windows KVM VPS
* Forex VPS
* n8n VPS

2. On the dashboard, click the Services section.

3. Select the VPS product you want to reset the password for under the Product/Services page.

4. Click Login to Cloud Panel to open your VPS cloud panel.

5. Inside the Cloud Panel, click Default Project to see your VPS and resources.

6. Click on your VPS to open its details page.

7. Go to the Boot & Rescue tab.

8. Scroll to the bottom and click Reset Root Password to generate a new one.

9. You will receive a new generated password, click the Copy button and save it in a safe place.
