Logging In to Your Hermes VPS via SSH

To manage your server and interact with Hermes, you will need to connect via SSH (Secure Shell).


1. Locate Your Server Details
Check your email inbox for the welcome message with the subject: "Your Hermes VPS is Ready!" . It contains your server's IP address and root password.


Remember to check your Spam or Junk folder if you don't see it.


2. Connect to Your VPS
Open your terminal (on Mac/Linux) or an SSH client like PuTTY (on Windows). Use the command below, replacing your-vps-ip with your actual server IP address:

ssh root@your-vps-ip


3. Enter Your Password
When prompted, enter the password from your welcome email. Note that for security, the characters you type will not be visible on the screen.


You are now logged in and ready to begin exploring your Hermes VPS.
