How to Run SSL in Plesk Hosting ?
What is SSL?
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a security protocol that encrypts the communication between your website and your visitors’ browsers. This encryption helps ensure that any data exchanged such as contact form submissions or payment information remains confidential and protected from unauthorized access.
Websites secured with SSL display a padlock icon (🔒) in the browser’s address bar and use HTTPS instead of HTTP. This not only enhances user trust but also strengthens the credibility and professionalism of your website.
This guide will walk you through to run SSL in Plesk hosting.
- Login into your Plesk using the username and password provided.

- Go to the Websites & Domains section, then select by click the domain you want to secure with an SSL certificate.

- Click on SSL/TLS Certificates or Let's Encrypt (depending on your hosting setup).

- Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the More options section. Click Install to generate and apply a free SSL certificate to your domain automatically.

- Enter your email address, tick all options, then click Get it free to install the SSL automatically.

- Before proceeding, make sure that the DNS record has been successfully added in the DNS Management, then click Continue to proceed with the process.

- Once the DNS record has been verified and the process is completed, the SSL/TLS certificate will be successfully installed for your domain. You will see a confirmation message indicating that the certificate has been installed.
