.my DOMAIN REGISTRY (MYNIC): Supporting Documents for Registering New .my Domain Name

All organizations applying to register a domain name under .my must-have a presence in the manner as stated below. The Registrant's name must be the institution name as EXACTLY stated in the relevant supporting documents.

Please note that incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate information supplied in the Domain Name Registration Form may result in termination of service.

Copies of supporting documents may be required to be submitted for:

New Registrations
Modifying Existing Registrant's Name (to reflect a Legal Name Change)

NEW REGISTRATIONS

For new .com.my, .net.my, .org.my domain name registrations via Exabytes, please take note that as of 26 September 2001, the organization formed pursuant to the
Societies Act 1966,
Business Registration Act 1956, and
Companies Act 1965
must submit their supporting documents to GB Network Solutions.
MYNIC may carry out random checks on the veracity of identity of these organizations, and reserves the right to terminate the service of organizations found to have supplied incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate information in the Domain Name Registration Form.

Organizations may apply to register for the following second-level and third-level domain names:

.com.my (for commercial organizations/activities)
.net.my (for network-related organizations/activities)
.org.my (for organizations/activities which do not qualify for other categories)
.edu.my (for Malaysian educational organizations only)
.gov.my (for Malaysian government organizations only)
.mil.my (for Malaysian military organizations only)
.my (for any registered company in Malaysia and any Malaysian citizen with Malaysian I.C.)

Registering .com.my, .net.my and .org.my

It is the Registrant's responsibility to select the most appropriate second level domain name (com.my, net.my, org.my).

Registering .gov.my
Only for Malaysian federal or state government departments or agencies.


Registering .edu.my
Only for Malaysian educational institutions.



Registering .mil.my
Only for Malaysian government military organizations


Registering .name.my

Customer must be a person/individual, and above 18 years old.
Customer must fill out ID information
National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) Number for Malaysian citizens

Registering on Behalf of a Minor (Below 18 years old)

Registrants for personal domain names are not allowed to register .name.my on behalf of other entities/individuals. However, parents/guardians or immediate family members may apply on behalf of a minor who is below the age of 18 years, as minors are not allowed to register .name.my personal domain name in their own capacity. PROVIDED ALWAYS that the minor and the parent/guardian/immediate family member concerned are Malaysian citizens and/or non-Malaysians residing in Malaysia.
The Agreement for Registration of Personal Domain Name is between .my DOMAIN REGISTRY and the parent/guardian/immediate family member concerned, and the parent/guardian/immediate family member is fully responsible for the said .name.my domain name.
The .name.my personal domain name may be transferred to the minor upon his/her attainment of 18 years.

Client may submit any of the document as mentioned above

MODIFYING AN EXISTING REGISTRANT'S NAME
You may apply to make modifications to reflect a legal name change, if you are a
company registered under the Companies Act 1965,
business registered under the Business Registration Act 1956, or
society registered under the Societies Act 1966.
You must submit the relevant supporting documents as stated below, to .my Domain Registry (MYNIC), by fax/post/courier together with the Confirmation Form. It is only once these supporting documents have been received and verified, that your application will be approved.
